We always knew we wanted to adopt. In 2010 Jodie suffered a Vertebral artery dissection. During her recovery God spoke to our hearts that adoption was in fact our calling. Though we are unable to have more biological kids due to her VAD, we knew this wasn't the end of our journey, but merely just the beginning. Throughout this process God continues to reinforce that adoption is bigger than just one child. We are not just welcoming a child into our lives, but additionally the birth family through an open adoption. At our agency, the minute potential birth parents walk through the door they are provided with free counseling for the rest of their lives!
