Adoption has been something we started talking about 10 years ago, when we were only just engaged to be married. We have known adoption is something God called us to-- but we also know that can take many different forms and we wanted to be open to God using us however he saw fit. For the last nine years of our marriage, we have had the privilege of supporting orphans and abandoned children through sponsorship programs. We have prayed babies home as many of our friends have adopted. Tara has had the opportunity to photograph many adoptive families at homecomings, family portrait sessions, and more. And now, we feel God calling us to adopt, to bring our second daughter, Ellie, home from China. Ellie is a 1 and a half year old little girl with a complex CHD (Congenital Heart Defect) and is in need of life-saving heart surgery once we are able to bring her home. This journey is one that we are excited and a little bit scared to take. But we know, and are so thankful, that God's ways are better than our own! We are so grateful for your love & support!
