It has always been on our hearts to adopt. Before Troy and I got married we discussed adoption, but life got busy having and raising kids. The dream went to the sidelines for several years! I have been feeling God's prompting for a while, but the logistics of it seemed out of reach. Last fall God put it heavy on our hearts so we had meetings with people about foster care, domestic adoption, international adoption, financial choices, etc. Collecting the data was helpful in that we were able to narrow down our search to China. It was not helpful in figuring out how we would pay for it or how all the details would play out. So we have taken a leap of faith and jumped in trusting that this is God's desire and that we are just going to have to trust him for each step. Not too far into the process we saw the file of a little guy who is 2. He has been waiting for a family and something about his file pulled at my heart differently then the other files we had poured through. Troy had the same feelings so we ask to review his whole file. We felt like God was prompting us to say yes to this little boy so we trusted and said yes. After we heard back from China that the preliminary answer is yes to us being able to adopt him our love has grown for him. I can no™t explain it and it still doesn't make sense to me, but this is our son. God has cleared the doubt from our hearts and we know without a doubt that this is our boy! So now we jump through hoops and wait for paperwork to clear governments and fundraise like crazy trying to bring him home. We are asking for your prayers and financial support to bring our son home.
