Fourteen years ago, when we were first married, God spoke to our hearts about adoption. As we have been learning about the international adoption process, God has blessed us with three biological children of our own. However, the desire to adopt has never wavered. At times we have questioned our ability...but God continues to direct our attention to him. His ability. His provision. Although we don't know who he is yet, we talk about and pray for our Haitian-born son almost everyday. Each of our kids have saved some money and given it to us for their little brother. The total cost of the adoption will be approximately $35,000. We have spent our savings and taken on 2nd jobs in order to pay for costs. We are also applying for grants and loans. But we understand it will "take a village" to bring him home. Why are we adopting from Haiti? Sandra's family is Haitian. Haiti is just over 700 miles away from Miami, Florida yet, it's the poorest nation in the western hemisphere. In 2008, Timm and Sandra traveled there to serve on a medical mission trip, where our desire to adopt from Haiti was further solidified. We humbly ask that you consider a tax-deductible gift that will help with these adoption costs. We trust that God will provide for all the things he has called us to do, and so we invite you to be a part of seeing God's word come to life. A son will find his family. And a family (you included) will welcome home a son.
