We didn't plan on this adoption, but God did. We have four wonderful kids, adopted as infants from South Korea now aged 4 to 12 years old. We were content. But then our family learned about older Chinese orphans through friends that were hosting a boy from China for a month this summer. Our kids got a chance to meet this boy and starting asking questions: "What will happen to him if he's not adopted?" "Why hasn't he been adopted?" "Why can't we adopt him? We have room." So we prayed. Part of the way through the month, we learned that this particular boy was being adopted by some friends of ours. Prayers answered, happy ending, huge sign of relief, end of story, right? Wrong! We learned that this boy's travel companion and friend, Wen De, had not found a home. Our friends who did the summer hosting were advocating on this boy's behalf and thought of us. Our kids started asking questions again. So we prayed. We heard God calling us to bring Wen De home so we've moved forward in faith. We hadn't saved for this adoption like we had for the others so it's been a challenge. But we've been blessed beyond belief in so many ways, with great family, great friends and a Savior who loves us and gave everything for us. So we ask you to join us on our journey to bring Wen De home. http://ourjoyfilledjourney.blogspot.com
