Hi! We are Niel, Mara and Ellis Haggmark. Thanks for visiting our page! Adoption has been on our hearts and part of our conversation since before we were married nearly 3 years ago. There are so many children around the world that need families. We are from the US but live and work in Hong Kong and Mara lived in mainland China for 11 years before we were married. When the door to adopt locally from Hong Kong was closed, we naturally looked into adopting from China. The journey to adopt has not been an easy one for us but we can see God's hand clearly leading in the process. We are thrilled to announce that we have been pre-approved to adopt a little girl from China. She has microphthalmia (one eye is smaller than the other and probably does not have vision in it) as well as some other significant special needs. We named her Liana meaning "My God has Answered." Update: Praise God, our Dossier has been reviewed and China said yes! We should be traveling to pick Liana up the end of December or early January.
