The day we have been dreaming of has finally arrived! Dave and I welcomed a sweet baby boy into our family! It all happened so quickly. At 11:30am on a Friday morning, we received the phone call we have waited for; a baby boy was born and we were asked to be his parents. Our hearts were so overwhelmed with joy in that moment that we could do nothing but stare at the phone and listen to our agency director provide all the details on our new baby boy! By 2:30 that afternoon, I was holding my son for the first time. Carter, our new little man, is doing well. We are doing our best to continue our fundraising and saving to pay off our adoption. Carter is still in the NICU at the hospital, so we are spending much of our time bonding with him and helping him get closer to coming home with us!
