Growing our sweet family has been a difficult, painful, medically expensive yet faith filled and rewarding journey. In 2008 we became pregnant with our beautiful baby Lily. Lily surprised us and was born at 25 weeks and weighed 1lb 12oz and fought very hard to live for three weeks in the NICU before passing away Christmas Day of 2008. We never expected to have to bury our first daughter, and we were so devastated. In 2010 we became pregnant again but after three weeks of ultrasounds, the baby's heart gave out and we miscarried. Finally at the end of 2010 I became pregnant again with our daughter Ashley. Even after being treated as a high risk pregnancy, I went into labor at 28 weeks. I spent three weeks in the hospital on bed rest before Ashley was born at 31 weeks weighing 3lbs 12oz. Ashley stayed 40 days in the NICU before coming home June of 2011. At 6 months, she also underwent tethered cord spinal surgery with a hospital stay and genetic testing. She was cleared of any issues after further testing and has since been a healthy, happy 4 year old girl who is excited to now have a brother coming! After this past year of praying, saving, and taking on extra work, we felt called to adopt and our prayers were answered when we were finally picked in February. Our son is due on May 20th in Florida! We have already invested a large portion of our funds in legal fees and birth mom expenses but now we are trying to raise money to help us with our trip, flights, and post delivery birth mom and legal expenses. Even more than funds, we are asking for prayers for safe travels, healthy baby, emotionally healthy birth mother and calm hearts. With Sincere Thanks- The Becker Family
